About Nordic Port
Nordic Port is a Swedish SaaS company rooted in Gothenburg, founded in 1995. Our journey began with digital tools for data collection – and soon led to the development of FRIDA, a system that today is used by all Public Transport Authorities in Sweden as well as many regional authorities in Norway. Since the beginning, our focus has been clear: to simplify, digitize, and structure the management of contracted Public Transport. Our strength lies in turning complex requirements and Contracts into concrete operational support – in close collaboration with our clients.
Over the years, FRIDA has grown from being a vehicle database to becoming a comprehensive tool for contract follow-up in Public Transport. Today, the platform is used by PTAs and their contracted PTOs to follow up everything from vehicle requirements and environmental targets to Traffic, deviations, and quality checks – with support for both Scheduled public transport and Demand-responsive transport (DRT).
At present, FRIDA handles over 200 PTOs and more than 1,000 Contracts between authorities and operators – a reflection of the digital collaboration structure that has evolved in the industry.
FRIDA is also used by the industry organization Svensk Kollektivtrafik to collect and make available national statistics from Public Transport – including to researchers, authorities, and other external stakeholders.
Nordic Port maintains a close and structured collaboration with its users. Through user associations in both Sweden and Norway, FRIDA is developed in line with the industry’s needs – with the customer perspective as the starting point.
Since 2025, Olle Düring has been the company’s CEO. Nordic Port is part of the EcoOnline Group today.
