When Bivab published news about buses that had undergone delivery inspections, we published this:
What actually happens behind the scenes during a delivery inspection when using FRIDA?
A delivery inspection is part of FRIDA’s vehicle inspection, usually carried out by the Public Transport Authority before a new service starts. At that time, the PTO often has several new vehicles that have been ordered and delivered for a specific Contract. A delivery inspection is a structured process designed to ensure that each vehicle meets the requirements set out in the Contract before it is put into service.
In FRIDA, the entire inspection process is digitalized – from planned inspection to completed report:
- Inspection templates are created based on the specific requirements in the Contract
- Inspections are then carried out according to these templates, either upon delivery or sometimes even at the manufacturer’s factory
- Approved vehicles are ready to be put into service
How FRIDA simplifies vehicle inspections:
- Results, photos, and comments are documented directly in the system
- The PTO is automatically notified in case of a failed inspection
- The dialogue between the inspector and the supplier takes place in FRIDA
- Everything is stored – traceable and accessible for both parties
This provides:
- A structured workflow that strengthens collaboration
- Secured compliance through traceability and transparency
- Safer public transport for passengers
Vehicle inspections are just one of many examples of how FRIDA – the public transport digital collaboration platform – supports contracted public transport, from agreement to delivery.
Good luck with the new buses, Bivab, Västtrafik, VÅRGÅRDABUSS AB.
